ConceptGenius is a comprehensive music platform offering annotated lyrics, in-depth song interpretations, and artist insights to help listeners deeply understand and connect with the music. For my concept, I aimed to emphasize Genius as a unique lyric analysis platform distinct from other existing platforms, while also highlighting its coverage of all music genres. I aim to enhance user engagement through focusing on detailed annotations and user contributions, fostering a community of music enthusiasts. I want to promote artist collaboration and features with exclusive insights and interviews, serving as a bridge between artists and fans.



Logo
The logo animation begins with a star graphic that transforms into a box shape composed of four annotation mark elements. As the beat drops, the bottom-right element rotates and moves into place, forming the letter 'G.' Simultaneously, the type below shifts colors in sync with the beat, symbolizing the diverse genres Genius encompasses. This design encapsulates the core of Genius, seamlessly blending analysis and annotation with diversity of musical genres into a visual identity.







Tagline
This tagline encapsulates the essence of Genius by emphasizing its mission to not only uncover the deeper meaning behind song lyrics but also to reveal the rich stories and insights that lie within the music. It highlights the platform's dedication to providing a deeper understanding and connection to songs through detailed analysis and interpretation.


Typography
I chose Forma for the headline font due to its modern, clean, and geometric characteristics which I felt tied in perfectly with the brand and the graphic elements.

I chose Stevie Sans for the bodycopy font due to its clean, legible design that has a friendly and approachable appearance, making long-form text, such as detailed lyric annotations and song interpretations, easier to read and more engaging.




Brand Elements
The brand elements consist of simple geometric shapes that seamlessly integrate with the logo. These shapes not only construct the logo but also enhance and support it.



Color Palette
Each of my secondary brand colors represents a different music genre that Genius covers. I selected vibrant colors to introduce a modern approach and revitalize the visual identity. Music harbors and evokes a wide range of emotions including uplifting, emotional, and diverse, so I wanted my color choices to reflect that dynamic range.

I focused on showcasing the brand's logo by creating a visually striking pattern using elements derived from the logo.

I aimed to highlight each graphic element derived from the brand's logo, showcasing how they all represent, build upon, and originate from the logo itself.



Content Poster Series 01

I focused on highlighting three genres and three specific artists, incorporating graphic elements and utilizing a grid system to enhance the visual structure.




Content Poster Series 02
This series features a concert lineup for each individual artist, utilizing the primary star graphic element derived from the brand's logo elements.



Content Poster Series 03
This series focuses on the lyric analysis feature that defines the entire brand, emphasizing its unique capability to break down and interpret lyrics, offering listeners a deeper understanding and connection to the music.
