I wanted to create a dynamic and engaging motion animation piece that showcases the core values of Dole: promoting a healthy and active lifestyle through the consumption of fresh fruits. This piece features Dole’s main fruits as vibrant, animated characters participating in various sports. Each fruit will have its moment to shine in different sequences, highlight the fun and energetic lifestyle they promote.
Process
I did all the character design in Cinema4D as well as all of the character animation and lighting.I imported the renders into After Effects to adjust the timing and fast pace and slow pace effects.
Initial StoryboardFor my initial storyboard, I wanted to follow the movement of the cherry, while giving each fruit athlete their own moment. So I combined those two and had the cherry moving throughout the entire animation serving as the ball, where the fruit athletes interact with it and send it from scene to scene.
